    Re: scrimmages tonight...

becouse EVERY time that I can rember that a Multi year starter at QB has been replaced the 1st year for the new guy has been rocky.

I was looking for them to use there QB as an extra RB this season and limit the passing game......If they have not lost anything at the QB position (something that i still am not sure about) they should be ever bit as tough as last season (if not better)

Well silly me, I would have thought that a QB with what, some 40+ varsity games of experience might just be a bit tough to replace for anybody.

I just thought he meant that the hardly wont be passing because of a new QB, I said his shoes are nearly impossible to fill but like I said again both could do the job well

    Re: scrimmages tonight...

Yes both could do the job well, or both could turn into the Norton version of Ryan Leaf or Akili Smith. Logically that is a question mark and it won't be answered till not only games are played but the players are put into a situation where they have to make plays. That's what made Stewart so good, it wasn't just that he could make plays, it was that he didn't make mistakes.

    Re: scrimmages tonight...

Im not sure if anyone really knows but why if you are coach adams would you even scrimmage a team that you know will not be able to put up a fight. The point of scrimmages are to look at your players and run plays and see what and which personel packages are going to work. You cant get a fair evaluation of your players if you play bad competition.

    Re: scrimmages tonight...

Well it depends. Sometimes its just hard to find quality opponents for scrimmages, but at times it doesn't matter too much who you scrimmage since you may want to rotate in and out a ton of players to get a look at them.

    Re: scrimmages tonight...

Maybe it was the other way around. Maybe North Green wanted to scrimmage a tough team for the sake of experience?
